Yankee Barn Development’s principal also has his own design firm Bryan Zelnik Architect, P.C. (BZA) which is a full service Architecture and Interior Design firm that places special emphasis on both residential design and commercial interiors. The firm is spirited and forward thinking and seeks to link social responsibility, sustainable construction practices with built material expression which enables the firm to bring innovative design concepts into constructed reality.
The philosophy of the firm stresses excellence in design and development of a unique architectural expression appropriate to the nature and the purpose of each project undertaken, always consistent with budgetary limitations.
BZA takes its initial clues from the client’s stated needs and desires, and then infuse each project with the breadth of his design experience and hands-on knowledge of construction so as to create a distinguished end product which creates buildings and spaces for living that are beautiful, simple, and timeless. The basis for its buildings is rooted in modernism, and its love for and appreciation of new materials and construction methods.
The design background and experience of Bryan Zelnik has given BZA the ability to create a firm that can deftly handle all aspects of a building project, from site selection analysis, initial programming and problem solving, through design and construction documents, to bidding and construction observation. As a small-sized firm, BZA has the ability to provide hands-on, principal involvement from start to finish. BZA listens to the wishes and concerns of every client, and through many conversations makes each project the clear embodiment of the client’s dreams.
BZA’s project list and related experiences has entailed custom residences from Mt. Desert Island, Maine to the suburbs of NYC area from Gates Mills, Ohio to the Hamptons, Long Island. In each project, has attempted to redefine traditional use of space, materials, and technology to better serve the exceptional aspects that each project and client possesses.
Bryan Zelnik Architect, PC is licensed to practice in the states of New York with offices in Chelsea, NYC and Ulster County, NY. BZA was founded by principal partner Bryan Zelnik, RA. Bryan Zelnik is an active member of the Village of Ellenville Historic preservation committee and the Ellenville Planning Commission.
